Description

The main idea of this guided research is to develop a system model for the active Physical Layer Security (PLS) key exchange as well as to analyze the method’s potential usage for higher order protocols. The importance of developing a secure communication channel is recog- nized by the industry, especially in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) where low-powered sensor devices play a central role. However, establishing secure communication channels often relies on computa- tionally intense cryptographic algorithms and protocols whereas the active PLS method only uses locally bounded physical properties to derive keys.
