Description

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease millions of people globally have to deal with. Insulin
pumps systems, wirelessly interacting with their environment, are a key component in im-
proving the patients’ health. Still, little is known on the security of their proprietary interfaces.
This work documents and analyses the interfaces for infrared and Bluetooth communication
of the Accu-Chek Combo insulin pump system by reversing the devices’ PCBs and capturing
their communication. It presents the hardware and software tools developed to facilitate this
work.
