Description

Fault injection attacks are a growing concern for modern com-
puting systems, as they have the potential to cause serious
security breaches by allowing attackers to gain unauthorized
access to sensitive data or control critical systems. It is thus
essential to conduct a comprehensive analysis of firmware
and hardware to prevent them. However, this analysis process
can be time-consuming and laborious, making the develop-
ment of automated tools like ARCHIE crucial. There exist a
wide variety of analysis tools that try to find potential fault
injection attacks. Yet none of them are capable of thoroughly
analysing the identifed faults to suggest mitgitations against
the attacks. Our work focuses on the development of an anal-
syis methodology that categorizes fault injection attacks and
suggests software-based countermeasures.
